Welcome to my blog.
I have many thoughts, feelings and views on our world that I wish I could share with others.
I find it a tragedy that our society becomes blinded from truth by prejudice. So here, I'll vent my views.
This prejudice doesn't always come from the color of you skin, but from the color of your politics. Red and Blue are just colors. This country is facing a prejudice that is similar to that earlier last century. The difference is that the colors one is supposed to wear are not racial. People expect you to march with a flag and defend it 'till death.
When people attack me because of my race I brush it off because they are a part of my identity and I take pride in my family. The accusations are also due to ignorance and lack of patience, understanding.
Ethical agression is different because I choose to believe what I do. If you do or say something without meaning to it serves little purpose. My beliefs in religion, politics are essencial to who I am and the world I want to live with. When these become attacked I do not get angry because an opposing view exists, but intolerance, ignorance for the sake of lazy learning sadden my view of our society.
When I'm attacked because of this views I think of how easier it is to be attacked because of your race. When you are attacked because of your views on society you are invisible to society untill you open up. PEOPLE LIVE IN TERROR OF OPENING UP.
If people are open in school, government or work they get sued. If people talk about important subjects with their friends they get ridiculed and cut out. So, people seek to talk with those of the same view. That's wonderful, hurrah for talking with people that think similarly... but then we don't become educated and our points don't change. We don't learn from others and the same ignorance and fear that bring prejudice still exist.
Our society wants us to fight againts "the other" team. Well, I'm sorry. I am not in a political gang about til kill all the blue or red team. I'm purple. I have blue and red in me and they have become a part of who I am. You can disagree, but let's keep our humanity and love intact.
I think that ethical segregation is harder than racial. The more we segregate ourselves the more that ignorance and intolerance bring impatience and violence. This is wrong. I'm sorry, it's plain wrong. It's wrong if you believe in God. It's wrong if you believe in the progress of humanity, and it's wrong because the little light inside all of us tells you it's wrong.
Does anyone else feel ethical segregation exists in our society? I think it's dangerous and we must learn from eachother, love eachother with our differences. I'll be clear, just because you don't hate someone doesn't mean that you are belittling your ethics. It does not mean you esteem them any less or agree with them. I'm also not saying you should accept everything that is said and smile away. I'm going to be calling things out on here... one of the reasons why I'm writing. What I wish is that people actually listened and educated themselves on both sides of the argument before making their own decision.
